The Third Planet (Russian title: Третья планета, Tretya planeta) is a 1991 Soviet science fiction movie. Alyona, the fifteen-year-old daughter of Anton, who suffers from a serious and incurable disease, is once again discharged without improvement now from a foreign clinic. Anton decides to return home and try his luck in the "Zone" - that's the name of the place where an atomic catastrophe happened many years ago. Now, according to rumors and magazine publications, there live a hermits-healers. Anton and Alyona pass through the spaces infected with radiation and get to the oasis closed from the whole world, a small settlement of hermits. However, they still do not know how everything will eventually turn out.
The following weapons were used in the film The Third Planet (Tretya planeta):
Handguns
FN Barracuda (Astra Police)
Anton buys at the beginning of the film in the gun shop the FN Barracuda revolver. This particular version is named in the film as "Astra Police", wich also evidenced by the characteristic grips with logo. The gun itself is bought without any license whatsoever, which is an absolute fiction, and is apparently a direct reference to similar acts in many action films (what in real life would be commonplace for the black market, but not for the official store). Another obvious cinema stereotype is that the revolver is sold without any spare ammunition.
Submachine Guns
Sa vz. 26
Some of the special forces fighters can be seen armed with a Sa vz. 26 SMGs.
Thompson M1928A1
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1912
One of the special forces fighters can be seen armed with the Winchester Model 1912 shotgun.
Unknown Pump-Action Shotgun
Pump action shotgun can be seen in the gun shop. It may be the Mossberg 500 due the black finish, but it's hard to say for sure.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
Some 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns is seen in the gun shop.
IZh-K
Assault Rifles
APS Underwater Assault Rifle
At least one of the special forces fighters can be seen use the APS Underwater Assault Rifle.
AK-74
The soldiers at the checkpoint at the end of the film are visible with the AK-74s.
Other
SPSh Flare Pistol
Soldier (Sergey Kupriyanov) uses at the end of the movie the SPSh Flare Pistol.
Gun Shop
One scene in the film that requires its own section is the gun shop, where an entire bunch of weapons. Handguns are list here to save space. Almost all of them are target versions, and were clearly provided by some sport community.
