Smith & Wesson Model 36
In The French Connection, Detective Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle (Gene Hackman) used a Colt Detective Special, but in this sequel, he carries a S&W Model 36.
Browning Hi-Power
Detective Barthélémy (Bernard Fresson) and other French police officers use Browning Hi-Power pistols, with tangent rear sights. The Hi-Power is seen commandeered by Detective Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle (Gene Hackman) during the final shootout of the film when one of the detectives gets shot.
MAT-49
This French submachine gun is used by Alain Charnier's (Fernando Rey) thugs in the movie.
