Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) carries a SIG-Sauer P226 as his sidearm in the series after he gets his field approval back in "Apéritif" (S01E01). BAU Special Agent-in-Charge Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) also carries a SIG-Sauer P226 as his sidearm in the series, altough he is more often seen wielding his shotgun. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) also handles Grahams' P226 in "Rôti" (S01E011) as he takes the pistol away from a feverish Graham for his own good. FBI HRT officers also use P226 pistols as their sidearms in the series.
Several police officers use Glock 17 pistols throughout the series. BAU Special Agent Brian Zeller (Aaron Abrams) carries a Glock 17 as his sidearm in the series. Dr. Abel Gideon (Eddie Izzard) takes a Glock 17 from a police officer in "Rôti" and uses it in the episode. Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) also uses a Glock 17 in "Savoureux" (S01E13).
Dr. Eldon Stammets (Aidan Devine) uses a Beretta Px4 Storm in "Amuse-Bouche" (S01E02). A woman, credited only as Kidnapper (Molly Shannon), uses a two-tone Px4 in "Œuf" (S01E04). One of his "sons", or "Lost Boys" also uses a black Px4 Storm in "Œuf" (S01E04).
A once kidnapped child uses a Beretta 84FS "Cheetah" in "Œuf" (S01E04) to kill his previous family. Special Agent Katz also handles the gun after he takes it away from him. Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) also uses one during the re-enactment of the crime in his mind.
