Sir C. Aubrey Smith (1863-1948) had over 100 credits in short and feature-length films in a career spanning 1915-1948. He received the award of Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1938 and was knighted in 1944. He was posthumously awarded a Star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood in 1960.
