Otto von Kuckuck's Luger
This pistol isn't an ordinary P08. It was discussed on Russian web sites and the only guess was that it is a converted Luger Carbine, like this one:
But it's a guess, not a accurate answer. Greg-Z (talk) 09:11, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
- I'm guessing Luger carbines are pretty rare though, and to modify one into a more common Luger pistol is just idiotic, from a financial and a shooting standpoint. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:13, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
- Yes, the same objection was in the discussion that I mentioned. But no better guess was proposed. In any case, the movie pistol is not a standard Luger but some modified version. Greg-Z (talk) 14:08, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
- Looking at the section in front of the trigger guard, how about this gun is some kind of weird mix between a Luger P08 and a Mauser Pocket Pistol? Just a quick thought, PeeWee055 (talk) 11:40, 19 August 2013 (EDT)
- At first glance, I thought it was a dressed up Mauser pocket pistol, but looking at the details, it's definitely a Luger. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:45, 19 August 2013 (EDT)

And the Award for "Most Unresponsible Handling of a Gun on Screen"...
...goes to Otto Kuckuck in “Cuckoo in a Dark Forest” who manages to position himself in front of a rifle while the person holding it has her finger on the trigger!

- I don't think it is as bad as it looks, is mainly the camera angle. From the angle he is holding his left arm at that would suggest that he is standing off to the side of the rifle rather than in front of it. His right hand may be in jeopardy though, but it is very hard to judge from a still shot with no depth perception. --commando552 (talk) 12:01, 19 August 2013 (EDT)
