Brother (Brat) is a 1997 cult Russian film directed by Aleksey Balabanov. The story revolves around a young Russian man named Danila (Sergei Bodrov Jr.), who goes to join his older brother in St. Petersburg. But Danila's older sibling is a gangster and a cold-blooded contract-killer. Danila is asked to kill someone, and soon learns that he finds killing easier than living. (People who don't speak Russian may find it ironic and humorous that the Russian word for 'brother' is 'brat', so any of us who have brothers will find humor in that translation.)
The following weapons are featured in the film Brother:
Hand-made Revolver
Danila's first gun is a locally-produced .22 LR revolver (which apparently has no official name). These cheap revolvers were produced in the 1990s by one of the gangs which operated out of the Moscow Suburbs. Many people wrongly identify it as a Nagant revolver.
Makarov PM
A Makarov PM is used by Iron (Vladimir Labetskiy), one of Krugly's henchmen.
Colt 1911
An M1911 is used by Viktor (Viktor Sukhorukov).
Walther P38
Krugly's main henchman carries a Walther P38 .
Tokarev TT-33 Pistol
A suppressed Tokarev TT-33 is used by Mole (Aleksey Poluyan).
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
Danila buys a double-barreled shotgun (presumably a TOZ-63) from his drunken neighbor (Vitaliy Matveev) and saws down the barrels.
Unknown SMG
A suppressed unknown submachine gun is seen in Viktor's kitchen.
