The following guns were seen in the remake of the classic zombie film Night of the Living Dead.

Winchester 94

Ben (Tony Todd) finds a Winchester 1894 Lever Action rifle in the arms of "cousin Satchel" in the house. He takes it and uses it for a little while. Then he gives it to Barbara (Patricia Tallman), who uses it for most of the movie until Harry Cooper steals it from her.

It's been awhile since I've seen it but wasn't it a Henry seeing as there was no side load gate and they loaded it from the front of the magazine tube? Anyone verify this?-TAG

It was a Henry Rifle replica, not a 94.

Double barrel shotgun

An unknown double barrel is Tom's weapon of choice in the film. Unfortunately, he accidently sets off the gas pumps with it, killing him and Judy.

S&W Model 15

Barbara (Patricia Tallman) pulls a nickel plated Smith and Wesson model 15 off of a zombie police officer. It is then her main weapon after she escapes the house.

S&W Model 36

Ben (Tony Todd) gets a model 36 from a a zombie cop. He later uses it in a shootout with Cooper, hitting him several times with it.

CAR-15 Variant

Commercial CAR-15 semiautomatic Rifle - 5.56x45mm. This is strictly a semiautomatic civilian copy of the XM177 style of rifles.

One of the zombie hunters at the end of the film carries a CAR-15 variant (an aftermarket commercial version of the XM177E2 Rifle) (with a legal 16" barrel and elongated flash hider).

M16/AR-15

Early in the film, Ben makes mention of a man with an "M16" in a diner. It is never seen, although it is more likely an AR-15 as it is used by a civilian.

Remakes

Think that a distinction should be made that this page refers to Tom Savini's 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead. The original NOLD, by George A. Romero, was released in 1968, and the actors playing the roles of Barbara, Ben and Harry are different than the 1990's version - Judith O'Dea, Duane Jones and Karl Hardman. - Yojimbo

This should be OBVIOUS to anyone who bothers to read the YEAR (1990) in the title. However, this information could also be reiterated in a brief summary for this movie page, which no one has written yet. - MPM
