Revision as of 19:31, 3 June 2009
- In SR2, all one-handed weapons can be dual weilded by the player and can sometimes be seen being dualed by NPCs as well. There is also many improvised weapons availabe.
Defibrilator Paddles
Emergency room tool used as weapon in SR2
Sledgehammer
12 pound sledge used as melee weapon in SR2.
Improvised Weapons
- TV's, newsstands, mailboxes, milk crates, oxygen tanks, garbage cans, stopsigns, guitars, cinderblocks, barrels etc.
Taser
- Used by police and Ultor guards in-game as the "Stun Gun".
USAS-12 Automatic shotgun
Appears as the "AS14 Hammer". Used by Gangs, namely the Brotherhood and the Ronin thugs. It is fitted with a folding stock over a fixed one. Complete Drug Trafficking, Mission 3 (Airport) to unlock the faster reloading version, the X3 Ultimax Shotgun.
Savage/Stevens 311A
Appears again from the last game as the "12 Gauge". Carried by many thugs in the game, namely the Sons of Samedi and the Brotherhood. in real life its only a two shot gun but in the game it has six rounds in it .
Colt Sporter Carbine
Appears again as the "AR-40 Xtnd". Used by Ultor Masako Assault Teams and SWAT. Has been mocked up to look like an XM177, and it also has no bolt assist.
Intratec TEC-9
9mm SMG that is cheapest SMG in game. Is called the "T3K Urban" in the game, and is used by all the gangs, including the Saints, Sons of Samedi, Ronin, and the Brotherhood.
Glock 21
Appears as "NR4". It is different from the icon above the armory, as it does not have an extended barrel, the trigger guard is different, and the hammer is exposed. It is the sidearm of the Stilwater Police Department and the Ultor Security Serivces in Saint's Row District. Some Gang Members use this weapon as well. This gun in the game holds 12 rounds In real life it holds 13 rounds.
-- for the person who keeps changing this, I was referring to the gun in the first game, which if you look at it says "21" and "45 Auto", and since it is the same gun used in gameplay, it is the 21 there too. In the second game, the icon is different, but the gameplay gun is the same so obviously it is also a 21. Don't change something someone wrote if they have evidence to support the fact and you dont.
Colt Anaconda
Appears again as ".44 Shepherd". Is somewhat less powerful than the one in SR1. Is carried by several gang thugs, namely the Ronin and the Brotherhood.
This gun in the game holds 6 rounds, the same as in real life.
Kobra Pistol
The Kobra pistol in this game appears to resemble, at least in some areas, the SIGARMS Bianchi P226 X-Five pistol. It carries fifteen rounds of 9x19mm NATO (9mm Parabellum), and comes equipped with a laser sight mounted atop the gun. It is unlocked by completing Level 3 of one of the two "Fuzz" activities in the game. [[1]]
- I'm going to dispute this. It looks a little bit like the X-Five, but there's too many differences to call it a P226 X-Five definitively. For one thing, the slide and barrel are significantly longer (I'd estimate at least 6, maybe 7 inches) and the slide has no serrations at the rear. --Clutch 18:51, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
IMI Desert Eagle
- Appears again as "GDHC .50". Strangely, it has an 8-round magazine, only found on the .44 Magnum Desert Eagle. It is used by the FBI Agents in the game.
- Another possibility is the it is in fact the .50AE version but it is including a round already in the chamber with a full clip of Seven in the Magazine, totalling eight rounds total to fire. One in chamber, seven in full magazine. --Deagle.50AE 22:18, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Barrett M82A1
Replaces .338 Cal "Mcmanus" as .50 Cal "Mcmanus 2010". It is seen used by an Ultor Masako Sniper in "Picking a Fight", and Johnny Gat attempts to use one to snipe the Ultor Executive, Dane Vogel, but fails when a guard attempts to stop him. In the game there is 5 rounds in the gun but in real life its 10 rounds.
-I think this may be the Barret CQB, as the barrel is shorter than a standard M82s.
IMI Uzi
Known in-game as "GAL 43", and is fitted with a MAC-10 style stock. Can be dual wielded. It is unlocked by completing level 3 of one of the "Snatch" Activities. Extremely high-rate of fire and a sort of minigun sound effect.
Heckler and Koch XM8
Known as the "AR-50 XMAC" in-game. Seen in the hands of the Ultor "Masako" assault team in a trailer, as well as in several cutscenes in game. The one with a grenade launcher is unlocked when you score the maximum rating for Gang Kills and earn one rating for the other combat ratings. The Launcher only uses grenades when purchased and placed into your inventory. In this game the magazine of the XM8 is 50 rounds but in real life it is only 30 rounds. the non-grenade launching version can be purchased at Friendly Fire.
Heckler and Koch MP5K
Appears in-game as the "SKR-9 Threat". Can be dual-wielded, and is used by some gang members and by Ultor Masako Assault Teammates in the game. in the game the gun holds 40 rounds but in real life the gun would hold 30 rounds. Can be purchased from Friendly Fire.
M249 SAW
The M249 is called the AR-200 in the game. It is used in the first level when making your escape from the prison in the boat. It is used afterwards by the player when firing from a helicopter. Can also be purchased from Friendly Fire.
AK-47
Reappears as "K6 Krukov" It is used by many gang thugs in the game.
Beretta 84F Cheetah
Appears as "Vice 9", replacing the 92FS that was used in SR1. For some reason, both the 92FS and the Cheetah are used in cutscenes. Both a stainless and a blued version are available (the blued one can be found on customers in gunstores, the stainless is found everywhere else). The Player uses a Cheetah several times, first to kill Mr. Sunshine with, firing multiple rounds into him before beheading him, then later uses it to intimidate Donnie, and then not long after kill the Brotherhood Leader Maero with it.
Benelli M3
Appears again as "Tombstone." Used by Police and Ultor members.
Flame Thrower
- An over-sized double-barreled futuristic-looking flamer.
M134 Minigun
Appears as "XM214 "Six Pak." Originally a project for a man-portable minigun, this fabled weapon is found in SR2 in the hands of Maero during the fight at the Brotherhood's hideout. Unlocked by the player after defeating Maero in said mission and put into armory.
RPG-7V/RPG-7
Upgraded to seek out heat and to look futuristic (lots more chrome) Known as the "Annihilator". The regular version is also available.
Satchel Charge
Your basic square hunk of C4
Chainsaw
A horror movie staple which makes its appearance in SR2
Samurai Sword
Used by the Ronin and also seen in the hands of Johnny Gat in a trailer
M2 50 cal machine gun
you find this machine gun on the Bear vehicle, six of them are wing-mounted on the Wolverine, and two are nose-monuted on the Parrot.
