Community is an American television comedy series that aired on NBC for five seasons from 2009-2014 and was then picked up by Yahoo! Screen. Created by Dan Harmon, (The Sarah Silverman Program) it features a diverse array of characters, from all different walks of life as they attend Greendale Community College as part of the same study group. It was not a traditional sitcom, as it features many pop culture references and meta humor, sometimes devoting entire episodes to particular pop culture tropes, such as action movies, westerns, conspiracy thrillers, bottle shows, clip shows, claymation, puppets and animation.
The show originally starred Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Chevy Chase, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, with Jim Rash and Ken Jeong. Harmon was fired after Season 3 after disagreements with management and Chevy Chase, but after Chase quit after Season 4, Harmon was brought back for Season 5. Donald Glover left the show after a few episodes of Season 5, and Jonathan Banks and John Oliver were brought in to fill out the cast. Both Banks and Oliver left after Season 5 to work on their own shows, and Brown left for personal reasons, so Keith David and Paget Brewster were brought in to fill out the cast in Season 6.
Following news that the contracts for the cast have now expired, coupled with the news that Yahoo! lost $42 million on original programming, the show appears to be over, with an auction of props and costumes in mid-2017 confirming the end. A feature film, which had been teased since Season 2, has been rumoured to be on its way.
The following weapons were used in the television series Community:
Pistols
Walther PPK
Dean Craig Pelton (Jim Rash) pretends to shoot Annie with a prop Walther PPK in "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" (S02E09).
Smith & Wesson 3914
Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) pretends to shoot the Dean with a prop Smith & Wesson 3914 after the Dean pretends to shoot Annie in "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" (S02E09).
SIG-Sauer P232
Annie pulls out a concealed prop SIG-Sauer P232 and shoots Jeff after he pretends to shoot the Dean in "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" (S02E09).
M1911A1
During their homage to Pulp Fiction in "Critical Film Studies" (S02E19), Shirley Bennett (Yvette Nicole Brown) uses two M1911A1s in her role as Jules. Pierce Hawthorne (Chevy Chase) carries one in "Digital Estate Planning" (S03E20).
Beretta 92FS
In Pierce's scary story in "Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps" (S03E05), Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi) play stereotypical gangsters armed with Beretta 92FS pistols. The Tommy Lee Jones impersonator (Jim Meskimen) in "Contemporary Impressionists" (S03E12) is armed with a Beretta 92FS as well.
Voltran Blank Firing 9mm Pistol
After Abed completely tears apart his analysis of Who's the Boss? Professor Sheffield (Stephen Tobolowsky) opens his desk drawer to reveal a Voltran blank firing 9mm pistol in " Competitive Wine Tasting" (S02E20). It was designed to resemble a Walther PPK, but lacks a magazine release.
Unidentifiable Glock pistol
An agent (uncredited) begins to draw what appears to be a Glock pistol in "Epidemiology" (S02E06).
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 60
Annie Edison (Alison Brie) pretends to shoot Professor Wooley/Garrity (Kevin Corrigan) with a prop Smith & Wesson Model 60 in "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" (S02E09). A drug runner is later shown holding one to Pierce's (Chevy Chase) head in a brief shot from "Paradigms of Human Memory" (S02E21). In "Remedial Chaos Theory" (S03E04), it is revealed that Annie keeps one in her purse, and in one possible timeline, it goes off when dropped, wounding Pierce in the leg.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
During their homage to Pulp Fiction in "Critical Film Studies" (S02E19), Annie uses two Smith & Wesson Model 36s in her role as Yolanda.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
During their homage to Pulp Fiction in "Critical Film Studies" (S02E19), Troy Barnes (Donald Glover) uses two Smith & Wesson Model 19s in his role as Ringo.
Single Action Army
Devon (Vince Gilligan) uses a prop Single Action Army as part of the interactive VCR game Pile of Bullets in "VCR Maintenance and Educational Publishing" (S05E09).
Shotguns
Mossberg 590 Cruiser
Office Cackowski (Craig Cackowski) pretends to shoot Professor Wooley/Garrity (Kevin Corrigan) with a Mossberg 590 Cruiser to teach everyone a lesson about the dangers of playing with prop guns in "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" (S02E09).
Double Barreled Shotgun
A prospector (E.J. Callahan) chases after Troy and Abed with a double barreled shotgun in "Paradigms of Human Memory" (S02E21). He fires it at them off-screen. The Old Shop Owner (Mayuto Correa) in the trailer for the Portuguese Gremlins knock-off Joelho-Alto Prejuizo Moral (Knee-High Mischief) manages to fire one three times without reloading.
Unknown shotgun
A drug runner (uncredited) is briefly seen with an unknown shotgun in "Paradigms of Human Memory" (S02E21).
Submachine Guns
Uzi
During their homage to Pulp Fiction in "Critical Film Studies" (S02E19), Pierce Hawthorne (Chevy Chase) has a suppressed Uzi in his role as The Gimp, probably subbing for the suppressed MAC-10 actually used in Pulp Fiction. According to the episode commentary, however, it is stated that the only scenes that Chevy Chase were in were the ones in the end where he was unmasked.
Rifles / Carbines
M4A1
When the army comes to contain the possible zombie outbreak in "Epidemiology" (S02E06), some soldiers are armed with M4A1 carbines.
Remington 700PSS
The contestants on the show Ski, Shoot, Sing appear to be holding Remington 700PSS rifles in "Pillows and Blankets" (S03E14).
Other
X26 Taser
Greendale security officers (Bertrand Roberson Jr. and Sashi Bommakanty) tase Jeff and Chang with X26 Tasers in "English as a Second Language" (S01E24).
Palmer Cap-Chur Short Range Projector
Ben Chang (Ken Jeong), in his new role as Greendale's head of security, is armed with a stainless Palmer Cap-Chur Short Range Projector.
