The Captain (Der Hauptmann) is a 2017 drama movie directed by Robert Schwentke (Red, Flightplan). 1945, at the end of the Second World War, somewhere in the German no-man's-land: Corporal Willi Herold is mercilessly hunted down by the merciless Captain Junker, who considers him a deserter. But shortly before his expected death Willi discovers in a car at the roadside a medal-captained uniform of the Luftwaffe, which he simply brushes over. With the uniform he quickly slips into the role and begins to scatter scattered soldiers around. Willi tests his newly gained power of disposition.
