Should these be 2 separate guns
I updated this page, and was wondering since the Z70 is based on the Sten/MP40 rolled sheet metal tube straight blow back design, and the Z84 is based on the Uzi, Steyr MPi69/81 design. Per the usual rules they were born from different design elements. Just curious. Let me know your thoughts. MoviePropMaster2008 20:28, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- The Z45 is not a clone of the MP40: http://star-firearms.com/firearms/guns/smg45/index.shtml. The Z62 series (including Z70) is not much like anything, and certainly not the STEN or MP40. The Z84 is in the same family as the UZI and Steyr, but those two are not clones of each other, so... no.
- In fact, I deeply object to it being the "z-series." That's like declaring all US issued guns to be "M series." The four generations of Star SMGs are entirely unrelated to each other mechanically, so are not a series. It is just the letter they preceded all their SMGs with. This should instead be four pages for the very different and unique guns. Shoobe01 (talk) 19:53, 1 January 2019 (EST)
