Operation Red Sea (Chinese: 红海行动 ; pinyin: Hóng Hǎi Xíng Dòng) is a 2018 Chinese/Hong Kong action movie, and is the thematic sequel to Operation Mekong. The film is loosely based on the March 2015 evacuation of Chinese nationals from the port of Aden during the Yemeni Civil War. The film is set in the Middle Eastern country of Yewaire, where the People's Liberation Army Navy special forces unit Jiaolong Assault Team is tasked to evacuate Chinese nationals from the country following the outbreak of a civil war in the country. The film is produced in Morocco.
