Mandate

Mandate (Mandat ) is a Soviet 1964 (filmed 1963) historical adventure movie directed by Nikolay Lebedev. In 1919 Bolshevik Gleb Prokhorov leads a prodotryad ("food squad") that has a mission to collect grain in villages for starving Petrograd. Prokhorov is accompanied by his thirteen years old son, also named Gleb (diminutive name Glebka). But the unit is attacked by local gang. Dying Prokhorov passes his mandate, signed by Lenin, to his son.
