The Rookie is a 2018 television series starring Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, a forty-year-old construction business owner who decides to move to Los Angeles and become an officer with the LAPD. During his probationary period, he must deal with the trials of being a new officer on the job as well as animosity from his watch commander. The series premiered in the US on ABC in October of 2018.

Smith & Wesson M&P
The Smith & Wesson M&P fitted with Surefire weaponlights are seen carried by several of the rookie officers in the series, including John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and Lucy Chen (Melissa O'Neil).
Glock 22
Glock 22 pistols fitted with Surefire X300 weaponlights are carried by LAPD training officers in the series.
Shotguns
Remington 870 (Police Magnum Extended)
The LAPD-issued shotgun is the Remington 870 Police Magnum shotgun with extended magazine tubes.

A Colt Model 933 carbine is seen used by a suspect in "Pilot" (S1E01).
