The Boys of War (Los Chicos de la Guerra in spanish) is a 1984 dramatic Argentine film directed by Bebe Kamin and starring Hector Alterio, Carlos Carella, Ulises Dumont, Marta Gonzalez, Tina Serrano, Miguel Angel Solá, Alfonso De Grazia and Gustavo Belatti. It is based on the book of the same name by Daniel Kon, which consists of a series of interviews with the young soldiers who fought in the Falklands War. The script was written mainly by Kon himself in collaboration with the director. It was shot in Buenos Aires and premiered on August 2, 1984. It was filmed in 16 mm and then enlarged to 35 mm.

Pistols

During the film, a British paratrooper and an Argentine soldier in civilian clothes use an inconspicuous gun, probably a 1911 colt or his Ballester-Molina Argentine version.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
A member of the task forces(Grupo de Tareas in spanish) carries an Ithaca shotgun.
Unidentified shotguns and rifles
During the hunt scene, Augusto (Hector Alterio), Pablo, Colonel Estela and a stranger use various rifles and a double-barreled shotgun.
Submachineguns
FM PAM
Argentine soldiers are seen armed with PAM, the Argentine variant of the M3A1.
Unknow SMG
When Pablo and Juan are taken prisoner an English soldier guides them to another sector, this is armed with an unknown submachine gun.
Rifles
FN FAL
Both Argentine and British soldiers use the Argentine version of the FAL, it was possibly difficult to get an SLR rifle.
FN FAL PARA
During the film Argentine and British soldiers carry the paratrooper version of the FAL.
Argentine Mauser 1909
Augusto is seen cleaning a Mauser Sporterized version rifle in his house.
Winchester Model 70
Augusto teaches Pablo to use this rifle in a polygon of fire.
Machine Guns
FN MAG
Both Argentine and British soldiers use the FN MAG machine gun.
