It is not clearly seen enough to identify from the side (even on higher quality prints of the film), though a front shot of the cop reveals what appears to be a Glock "cup"-style rear sight. The size of the pistol in the holster makes it likely that it is a Glock 19, mostlikely a second-generation model.

Later in the film, in Det M.J. Monahan (Holly Hunter) carries a backup weapon in addition to her SIG. This firearm seems to be another small .380, possibly a Colt Mustang or a Mustang Plus II. It is unclear if the weapon seen is in stainless or blued finish. It is obviously not the Colt Combat Commander that she used earlier in the film or a Para-Ordnance P-12, due to the size it is in her hand. We can't be sure, but it's probably a Colt Mustang. Either way, Monahan sure likes her .380s.
