H&K PSG-1
The PSG-1 is a heavily modified G3 rifle with semi-auto only functions. Most claim it to be the most accurate semi-automatic rifle in the world, however it is quite expensive. The current price to Law Enforcement today is about $10,000 per unit. Since no more rifles are being imported for civilian sales, those original German guns that are currently in the country have risen to about $15,000 per unit for a pristine example.
Film
- Mel Gibson as Detective Martin Riggs in Lethal Weapon (fitted with folding bipod and 20-round magazine)
- Mounted in an automated platform in Vantage Point
- Lucy Liu as O-Ren Ishii in Kill Bill Vol. 1.
- Maggie Q as Yuet in Dragon Heat.

- Socom II
Anime

H&K HK91
Film
- Val Kilmer as Chris Shiherlis in Heat (with Factory Bipod installed and Leopold Scope)
- Chevy Chase as Eddie Muntz in Deal of the Century demonstrating the rifle with a Bipod to some Central American Guerillas, and later uses it to turn the tables on a street punk who tried to rob him.
- Peter Stormare as Dieter Stark in Jurassic Park II: The Lost World
- Arnold Schwarzenegger as John Matrix in Commando
Television
- Gary Graham as Matthew Sikes in 'Alien Nation - The Series as a near future L.A. Cop.
- Randall Flagg's Henchmen in the Television Miniseries Stephen King's'The Stand'
H&K SR9 series of Sniper Rifles
An HK-91 made to withstand the import ban on firearms. Simply put, it's still a fantastic weapon, even the stars of the movies using them love it. Most of them look like PSG-1s with shorter, thinner barrels and front grips.
NOTE: Due to the relatively low number of SR9Ts and SR9TCs imported to the United States, most of the SR9 variants appearing in Hollywood movies are actually conversions of HK91s done by Hollywood's armorers. Most of them lack the forward assist, a feature that the real SR9 series shares with the PSG1. The images here on IMFDB of SR9s are images of actual movie "SR9s".
Film
- A police sniper in Heat (SR9(T))
- Til Schweiger as Ryker in The Replacement Killers (SR9(T))
- Billy Zane as Richard Miller in Sniper (SR9(TC))
- Richard Gere as Declan Mulqueen in The Jackal (SR9(TC))
- British Soldier (SAS) Sniper in Dog Soldiers
- Viggo Mortensen as Master Chief Urgayle in G.I. Jane (SR9(T))
Television
- David Caruso as Lt. Horatio Caine in CSI: Miami (SR9(T))
H&K MSG90
A much more common G3 variant than its predecessor, the PSG-1. The MSG-90 is made to withstand more harsh conditions without sacrificing capability, and coincidentally is a little bit cheaper than the PSG-1.
Video Games
- The World Is Not Enough (as the "Deutsche SA90")
H&K HK21 Machine Gun
A Belt Fed General Purpose Machine gun based on the G3 Rifle. It is seen in the following:
Film
- Mounted on Speedboat in The World Is Not Enough
Video Games
- Jagged Alliance 2 magazine fed only which makes it a HK11.
