John Bryson (1923-2005) was an American actor/photographer who was cast in three films directed by Sam Peckinpah, including The Getaway, Convoy and The Osterman Weekend. He began his career as a photographer for Life magazine, but would later contribute independently to such publications as Look and Holiday. Among his best-known photographs was of artist Salvador Dali wearing a crown made of sausages. He would also photograph many well known celebrities, including Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor, Clint Eastwood, Jason Robards, John F. Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy.
