The following guns were used in the film:
Barrett M82A2
A bullpup variant of the Barret M82 .50 caliber sniper rifle known as the Barrett M82A2 is seen used in the hands of the mercenary Cooper (John Dielh). When first testing it at an aircraft boneyard, Nash tells him it's an "Einhorn 20mm" that fires 20mm high explosive incendiary rounds, is gas operated and uses a rotating bolt. It is fitted with a thermal image scope. The rifle can be heard being fired off-screen several times during the first encounter with the Spinosaurus, but none of the rounds seem to hit their mark as the dinosaur appears unharmed.
- It's more likely that blanks weren't used due to noise ordinances at the filming location. .50 caliber rifles are quite loud, and it's possible that they couldn't get a permit to fire this weapon in that location.
-I'm not gun genius, but how hard would it be to hit a huge dinosaur with a 20mm sniper rifle? and if you did, a round that big (and that pack a small boom) would cause damage, no?
- You make a good point. Some merc he is if he can't hit a Spinosaurus with that thing. But if he did hit it and kill it, it would be a 15 minute movie and thus serve no point to exist. In real life, the guys with the guns survive when facing dinosaurs, but in Hollywood, all you need to do is run fast. >:(. I wish he had killed the Spino, T-rex is the coolest and the Spino was a dumb attempt at topping it. Thanks a lot Jack Horner. (I used to be a dino-nut, in case no one knew) - Gunmaster45

Steyr AUG
Co-pilot and mercanary Udesky (Michael Jeter) is seen armed with a Steyr AUG A1 assault rifle fitted with a 42-round magazine. It is rendered useless from the plane crash.
Heckler & Koch SL8
M.B. Nash (Bruce A. Young) is seen armed with an H&K SL8 rifle fitted with a 10 round magazine and an M68 Aimpoint red dot scope.
Heckler & Koch USP
A Heckler & Koch USP is seen in Udesky's vest holster but later, it dissapears. It's a shame he lost it, it would have helped him out greatly later in the film.
Mossberg 500 "Cruiser"
Nash is briefly seen with a pistol grip shotgun slung over his back, likely a Mossberg 500 "Cruiser" when he rushes to start the plane.
M16A2 Rifle
The Marines who land on the beach of Isla Sorna are armed with M16A2 rifles. Many of them appear to have A1 style forward assists. Most are likely rubber props. Based on the way the Marines hold their weapons, some appear to be real trained Marines (or extras who know a thing or two about guns), while others are clearly untrained extras, many of which keep their fingers on the trigger.
Gas Grenade
Eric Kirby (Trevor Morgan) uses the last of his Gas Canister Grenades to save Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil) from cirlcing Velociraptors.
Flare Gun
Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil) finds a flare gun pistol and uses it to ignite the boat fuel around the Spinosaurus in the water, ending its attack on the group. It should be noted that under water, the flare would have probably gotten too damp to fire, but that's how movies work.
