TOZ-87 is a Soviet/Russian semi-auto shotgun. It was designed in 1978 as the "MTs 24-12"; but serial production was started only in 1987, already under the index "TOZ-87". Despite the very high visual similarity with the MTs 21-12, the TOZ-87 mechanism design is completely different.
The "Cruiser" version, TOZ-187, was also produced. It is distinguished by the factory Pistol grip (with the possibility of attaching a fodling stock) and shorter barrel.
In the 1994, was developed a TOZ-94, pump-action version of the TOZ-87.
Note: The MTs 21-12 and the TOZ-87 are nearly identical from a distance. The main difference - is the safety selector on the right gun's side, which is on the MTs-21, and is missing on the TOZ-87.
