12 Monkeys is the television adaptation of the 1995 science fiction thriller that was directed by Terry Gilliam and starred Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt. Like the film, the series follows James Cole (Aaron Stanford), a convict living in a future where Earth's population has been decimated by a deadly plague. He then finds himself travelling through time in an attempt to stop those who will unleash the plague. In his travels, Cole is joined by Dr. Cassandra Reilly (Amanda Schull), a virologist who must decide whether she will help Cole and stop him. The series aired for four seasons on SyFy from 2015 to 2018.
