Sicario
Sicario teaser poster
Sicario (Spanish for "hitman") is a 2015 crime thriller directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners ) and written by Taylor Sheridan (Sons of Anarchy ). Emily Blunt stars as Kate Macer, an FBI SWAT agent assigned to the FBI's Phoenix Field Office, who becomes involved with an elite anti-drug task force led by a shadowy government official (Josh Brolin ) and his mysterious Mexican partner (Benicio del Toro ). The cast also includes Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey Donovan . A sequel, Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado , which also was written by Sheridan and with Josh Brolin , Benicio del Toro , and Jeffrey Donovan returning to reprise their roles, is due to be released in June 2018 by Columbia Pictures.
The following weapons were used in the film Sicario :
Handguns
Glock 19
Kate Macer (Emily Blunt ) and other FBI agents carry a third generation Glock 19 as their main sidearm, the former notably using hers during the shootout at the Juárez-El Paso border crossing.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing Kate with her Glock while at the Juárez-El Paso border crossing. Note the small guide rod and accessory rail, making this a generation 3 model.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Kate fires her Glock at an attacker.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Kate holds the Glock after opening fire. This is a better view of the guide rod.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Kate aims the Glock.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing A production image shows Kate with her Glock holstered.
Glock 17
Alejandro (Benicio del Toro ) also uses a fourth generation Glock 17 in several scenes.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing 4th Generation Glock 17 - 9x19mm. What differentiates this model from older models is the removable backstrap, more aggressive grip texture, enlarged magazine release and larger guide rod face. Also, Gen4 is engraved on the slide.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Alejandro (Benicio del Toro ) uses a Glock 17 during a confrontation. Note the larger dual recoil spring guide rod, thus identifying this as a Gen 4 model.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Alejandro (Benicio del Toro ) with a Glock 17 .
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Alejandro holds the Glock 17 on Silvio (Maximiliano Hernández ).
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Alejandro (Benicio del Toro ) holds a Glock 17 on Manuel Diaz.

Beretta 92FS
A Beretta 92FS can be seen in a Delta Force operator's holster during the shootout at the border crossing. A Sonora cartel member is later seen wielding a Beretta.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing SIG-Sauer P226 DAK - 9x19mm.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Closeup of the SIG held by the gunman. Note the lack of decocker and bobbed hammer, thus identifying it as a "Double Action Kellerman" (DAK) model.
FN Five-seveN

Heckler & Koch Mark 23
Alejandro (Benicio del Toro ) uses a suppressed Heckler & Koch Mark 23 during the climax.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Heckler & Koch Mark 23 with suppressor -.45 ACP
Error creating thumbnail: File missing The MK23 can be differentiated from the USP series by the raised sections of the front and rear of the slide at the point the sights are situated, from the curved underside of the front of the frame and also the threaded hole in the front of the wider, elongated trigger guard (for installation of a Wilcox or similar locking LAM unit) which you can see clearly in this still. Also the frame on a Mark 23 is significantly wider before the integrated rail than on a USP. Though it is hard to identify in the film, this enhanced publicity still helps, as well as a brief side shot in the film, detailing the unique Mark 23 trigger guard.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Alejandro (Benicio del Toro ), while carrying his Gen 4 Glock 17, (if you look closely) can actually be seen with the Mark 23 in his vest holster, suppressor attached. Nifty continuity and foreshadowing. This could not have been mistaken for a similar USP, as it has an ambidextrous safety lever, which can clearly be seen on its left side.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Alejandro confronts Fausto Alarcon (Juan Cedillo) and his family. Note the older style reflective H&K "Maritime" finish. New MK23s feature HK's standard "Hostile Environment" finish.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Alejandro brandishes the suppressed Mark 23.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing In a continuity error, Alejandro's weapon changes from an MP5A3 to an MP5SD3. Note how the sight has been crudely attached atop the weapon.
