The Werndl Rifle is a series of Austro-Hungarian single shot bolt action battle rifles, designed by Josef Werndl. The first model M1867 (also known as Werndl–Holub) replaced the outdated infantry Lorenz M1854 rifle. Most models were manufactured in several versions, includng infantry rifle, short rifle and carbine.
