A Stranger Among Us is 1992 crime drama film directed by Sidney Lumet. Detective Emily Eden (Melanie Griffith) after a temporary suspension, when shoots on the street a criminal, who injures her colleague, she receives a challenging task from her supervisor. She has to find a owner of the diamond trade named Yaakov Klausman (Jake Weber), who lost himself from the Hasidic community. Already the first encounter with this community is a great surprise for Emily. He meets here with Rebe (Lee Richardson), their spiritual leader, and two his adopted children, Ariel (Eric Thal) and Leah (Mia Sara).
