The most part of the movie takes place during the beginning of Russian Civil War (1918 year), so several guns are anachronistic. The film ending takes place during the World War II (1943 year). At the 1918 year, the squad of Bolshevik soldiers sent to stop German colonists, who stealing the gold.

Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" is the personal firearm of the Perekrestov Sr. (Vladimir Chobur), who carry it near all times. Many decades later, militiaman (soviet policeman) (Pyotr Mosrskoy) found this Mauser near his corpse.
