I know this page is straight dead but damn it if it won't stop me from tazing it back to life briefly over the one unknown rifle. Given the fact it's a lever action with a side ejection port, it's pretty easy to guess it's a Marlin 336. Anachronistic but given the short nature of the scene it's in, I think they just wanted him to have something relatively accurate to the era. --[[User:PaperCake|PaperCake]] 23:00, 4 April 2017 (EST) |

Clyde Barrow was born in 1909 and Bonnie Parker was born in 1910. They were children/teens in the 1920s, and each died before age 25. Their crime spree and time on the Public enemies list spanned from 1931 to 1934. They weren't particularly active during the "Roaring Twenties."--Ruzhyo (talk) 16:44, 29 September 2013 (EDT)
The Colt Detective Special wielded by Bonnie is a postwar model,as evidenced by the smooth, rather than checked, cylinder latch. Also prewar Detective Specials had short ejector rods, short enough that the knob would have likely shown in this shot. The "New Service" that Bonnie is aiming is actually also a postwar Colt, an Official Police Heavy Barrel; note the ramped front sight and single screw on the side of the frame(prewar Colts had a screw and bolt, which looks like a pair of screws side by side).Even if a prewar Heavy Barrel OP had been used, it would still have been anachronitic as the HB version wasn't introduced until 1935, and Bonnie was killed in 1934. 21:20 7 October Tecolote After looking atthe new images, it seems there is also a shorter barreled OP,the one Buck checks in his room which appears to have a 4 or 5 inch barrel, and the shot of the OP stuck in Clyde's pants appears to have a checkered clyinder release and a pre 1945 hammer, making it period correct. It also looks as though the revolver in the lawman's holster and in the safe are Colts as they both have Colt grips and frame shoulder. The cops do have Smiths, though.--Tecolote (talk) 03:20, 27 February 2015 (EST)

The unknown sniper rifle looks like a Springfield M1903. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:58, 22 April 2014 (EDT)

Unknown lever action rifle
I know this page is straight dead but damn it if it won't stop me from tazing it back to life briefly over the one unknown rifle. Given the fact it's a lever action with a side ejection port, it's pretty easy to guess it's a Marlin 336. Anachronistic but given the short nature of the scene it's in, I think they just wanted him to have something relatively accurate to the era. --PaperCake 23:00, 4 April 2017 (EST)
