The Bridge at Remagen is a 1969 WWII film that focuses on a unit in the U.S. Army's exhausted 27th Armored Infantry that is ordered to seize the bridge near the city of Remagen, on the Rhine River, in order to prevent the retreat of 75,000 German troops. Lieutenant Hartman (George Segal) leads the mission, while a German major (Robert Vaughn) defies orders to destroy the bridge and instead attempts to hold the bridge to allow the German troops to escape.
The M1 Carbine is seen in the hands of several US officers including Lt. Hartman. A few of the rifles are seen with the anachronistic 30 round magazine.
Karabiner 98k
German soldiers carry the Karabiner 98k throughout the film.
Machine Guns
Browning M1919A4 Machine Gun
The Browning M1919A4 .30 cal MG is seen in its vehicle mounted role, most notably on Lieutenant Hartman's jeep as well as the jeep carrying Captain Colt and one of the US Army Half Tracks.
