Fighting Turkestan (Boryushchiysya Turkestan, Uzbek title Kurashayotgan Turkiston) is the fourth film of Soviet Uzbek TV series Fiery Roads (Ognennye dorogi) (filmed in 1984, released in 1985). It depicts the participation of Hamza Hakimzade Niyazi in fighting for Soviet power in Central Asia and his work as enlightener of Uzbek people.
Hamza holds a Nagant M1895 revolver in one scene. A Nagant is also seen in hands of Alchinbeck Naziri (Bakhodir Yuldashev).
Pistols
Mauser C96
Mauser C96 pistols are widely used by basmachi, notably Qurboshi (chieftan) Sadiqjan-bai (Bimbolat Vatayev). Red Army commanders also carry Mauser pistols.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
In Ep.13 Red Army soldiers and basmachi use Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles, standing for original M91s.
In Ep.13 "obrez" sawed-off rifles are used by basmachi, notably Sadiqjan-bai's second-in-command Nasirbek (Melis Abzalov).
M1917 Enfield
In Ep. 13 some basmachi are armed with M1917 Enfield (or a mix of M1917s and British P14s) rifles.
Ross Mk III
Ross Mk III rifles are also used by basmachi in Ep.13.
Karabiner 98k
Anachronistic Karabiner 98k rifles are carried by some Red Army soldiers in Ep.13.
Shotguns
Mosin Nagant/Frolov Shotgun "Obrez"
In Ep.13 Nasirbek (Melis Abzalov) is also seen with a different "obrez". It lacks the typical Mosin Nagant magazine but has same looking straight grip stock. This features allows to guess that the base gun is a "Frolovka" shotgun (some versions of "Frolovka" lacked the protruding magazine).
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910
In Ep.13 a Maxim M1910 machine gun is seen mounted in Mikhail Frunze's armoured train. During the attack of Basmachi actors of Hamza's agitation theater fire a Maxim.
