I was watching a video on the weapons of this game and, this has been bugging me for a while. For the reload of the Single Barreled Shotgun, is the character ejecting a unspent shell and inserting a spent one? Bugging Me

I was watching a video on the weapons of this game and, this has been bugging me for a while. For the reload of the Single Barreled Shotgun, is the character ejecting a unspent shell and inserting a spent one?
