The Second Wind (Le Deuxième Souffle) is a 2007 remake of the 1966 eponymous crime movie . It was directed by Alain Corneau, and stars Daniel Auteuil as the criminal Gustave "Gu" Minda.
The following weapons are seen in the movie Second Wind (Le Deuxième Souffle):
Pistols
Browning Hi-Power
Alban (Eric Cantona) fires a Browning Hi-Power with target sights in akimbo with the Smith & Wesson Model 27 revolver.
M1911A1
A nickel plated M1911A1 is used by one of the hitmen employed by Jo Ricci (Gilbert Melki). Gu (Daniel Auteuil) takes this pistol and uses it in several scenes. Note the additional grooves on the front end of the slide, which is not peculiar for the standard M1911s. Another M1911 is seen in hands of Antoine Ripa (Nicolas Duvauchelle) near the end of the movie.
MAC Mle 1950
A MAC Mle 1950 is used by one of Jo Ricci's hitmen. Gu (Daniel Auteuil) later takes the pistol from him. A Mle 1950 is also carried by Poupon (Stéphane Brel).
SIG P210 Target
Stanislas Orloff (Jacques Dutronc) carries a SIG P210 Target as his personal sidearm.
Walther P38
Gu (Daniel Auteuil) takes a Walther P38 pistol from Commissaire Fardiano (Philippe Nahon) and later uses it.
Walther PPK
During the shootout in the bar, one of the hitmen is armed with a Walther PPK.
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 10
One of the officers accompanying Commissaire Blot carries a Smith & Wesson Model 10.
Smith & Wesson Model 13
Another officer is seen with a Smith & Wesson Model 13.
Smith & Wesson Model 27
During the shootout in the bar, Alban (Eric Cantona) fires a Smith & Wesson Model 27 revolver in akimbo with a Browning Hi-Power pistol. A hitman, Louis Barthel, also carries a Model 27 in his vest's pocked, and Gu (Daniel Auteuil) takes the revolver from him. Later, Alban gives his own revolver to Gu, and an officer led by Blot also appears to hold a Model 27.
Smith & Wesson Model 65-5 Ladysmith
In the bar shootout, one of the hitmen is armed with what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 65-5 Ladysmith. This weapon is supposed to be the only S&W model that has a ramp front sight and shrouded rod, so it can be identified. Gu (Daniel Auteuil) and another criminal also acquire what appear to be Model 65-5 Ladysmith revolvers during the breakout from the prison hospital. One is later seen carried by an officer accompanying Commissaire Blot.
Unidentified revolvers
Jacques Ribaldi (Jean-Claude Dauphin), the criminal known as "Jacques the Notary", is armed with a compact revolver during the shootout in bar, though he is shot before having enough time to draw his weapon. The revolver looks similar to snub nose Smith & Wesson models but has a visually longer cylinder. During the breakout from the prison hospital, one of the criminals is armed with a similar snub nose revolver.
Submachine guns
M1A1 Thompson
Théo (Jean-Paul Bonnaire) uses an M1A1 Thompson to help Orloff.
MAT-49
In the bar shootout, one of the hitmen is armed with a MAT-49. Police motorcyclists in escort of the wagon and gendarmes in the final scene also use MAT-49s.
Rifles
MAS-36 style rifle
During the robbery of the wagon, Antoine Ripa (Nicolas Duvauchelle) is armed with what appears to be a MAS-36 style rifle. It is fitted with pistol grip and furniture, similar to the one of MAS-49/56 MSE sniper rifle.
Other
F1 hand grenade
Antoine Ripa (Nicolas Duvauchelle) uses an F1 hand grenade to destroy the wagon after the robbery.
