| Yeah it is awesome. I think the Spetsnaz are going to win over the Green Berets next week. I haven't heard anything about the IRA vs. Taliban fight though. | | Yeah it is awesome. | Look, I'm sorry for being a dick in advance about this topic, so I will give you fair warning that I have a LOT to bitch about. So if you really do enjoy this show, more power to you, but I got SOME things to say. So as to not ruin your experience.
| |
|

|
| |
| Now that being said...what the hell is wrong with you!? This show is fucking awful! Ninja vs Spartan? Pirate vs Knight? William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu!?! And Yakuza vs Mafia, WHICH MAFIA!? The Italians? Russians? Irish? And even then it depends on which family, which group, which region? Even then it wouldn't make a difference since both mob uses the same weapons and tactics. the only deciding factor is who got the drop on other.

|
| |
| Who are the Maori? and why are they mentioned enough to compare to Shaolin monks?
| |
|
| |
| All these vs fights are either off balanced or just fucking weird and random. Did they pull some of this shit out of a hat?
| |
|
| |
| This show isn't awesome, it's laughable at best. I mean, the so called "Experts" in the show seemed to have been told off screen to act like a bunch of high school jocks having a cock contests on who's bigger. I mean, do you listen to how these people talk to each other like their side is the most bad ass.
| |
|
| |
| And yeah, this "computer simulation". The real simulation is just numbers, not putting into real tactics and the situation. I mean while we're watching 2 actors wandering around in a forest and then walking into each other. Why a fucking forest anyway? Is it because it's closest to the studio where they film the "test lab"? Are 2 mobsters really going to walk in the middle of the fucking forest and face off? I get Wallace and Zulu, or Spartan and Ninja, and maybe the special forces guys, but come on.
| |
|
| |
| It's like their taking a fighting game like Soul Caliber or Street Fighter and applying the vs mode idea in real life.
| |
|
| |
| But who is fighting who is getting more weird and random with each passing episode. I mean...the IRA vs the Taliban? Are you fucking shitting me? Do you know how a fight like that is going to end? It's most likely going to dumb down to who got their suicide bomb off quicker. And even then it doesn't make sense. I mean, are 2 full army crazies decide to walk into a forest and face off with all the weapons they are known to carry?

| Seriously, the 1920s Mafia vs 1940s Yakuza? These guys weren't "warriors" they were crooks, thugs, petty thieves, crime syndicates. They can't compare to the lore of Samurai, Vikings, and Spartans.

| I mean, the episode about them had them comparing a handgun to a shotgun, an ice pick to a sai. Completely different kinds of weapons. I mean both sides had other weapons in their arsenal. After WWII, the Yakuza had access to TONS of stockpile of both American weapons during the occupation and from Japanese military. They had Grease guns, and 1911s as well as Tommy guns, The Mafia would of had more types of guns as well. The fight where they pit 5 Mafia vs 5 Yakuza might seem like a classic meet gone wrong, but who brings a baseball bat to that kind of meet and greet? Knives maybe, I don't even think the Yakuza would bring their sais or nunchucks. Each side would bring guns that would give out the most firepower and firing rate. All 10 of them would have SMGs and if they were going to start fighting from the get go, it wouldn't be that kind of meet in the battlefield kind of thing, it would be who gets the drop on who kind of thing.
