I took a bunch of images for this game and combined them with some firearm ID info I found online. Needs help by proofreading and double checking the weapons IDs.--Wuzh (talk) 10:45, 6 December 2017 (EST)
- Just a note, you only use "is based on" if it isn't clearly one thing or another. The Caulden isn't based on an M1911 variant, it is an M1911 variant. Evil Tim (talk) 02:54, 8 December 2017 (EST)
- Well... I prefer writing "based on" because I feel uncomfortable with the "this is incorrect and wrong" attitude IMFDB seems to bring out. I've seen so many pages where the writer is like "this rail is two centimeters shorter than the real one so it's incorrect," (obviously not this extreme, but I just want to illustrate my point) I just feel anxious writing such things, so I prefer to keep my writing to a more neutral style, using "based on" when any gun looks like it's even slightly stylized in some media. I'm sorry if that's not what IMFDB looks for, but I'm sure others can help if this is a problem. --Wuzh (talk) 06:35, 8 December 2017 (EST)
On a side note, I literally cannot play this game. For whatever reason, every server I go into has a 200+ ping, creating like 3 seconds of lag and making it impossible for me to get new mercs. All the images I have are collected from free mercs in weekly rotation. I would appreciate any help for taking pictures, just the idle and the inspection images should be fine for now. Go into settings and disable the crosshair then set the HUD alpha to 0 to hide everything but the Beta Build watermark, which I presume cannot be removed by any means. --Wuzh (talk) 06:35, 8 December 2017 (EST)
- Actually I'm fine now. I don't know what optimization magic they did but the game now runs fine.--Wuzh (talk) 03:59, 15 December 2017 (EST)

Dirty Bomb is a free-to-play mutliplayer first-person shooter developed by Splash Damage, creators of Brink and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. The game features multiple classes, also known as mercs, each with their own abilities, while the arsenal available to individual mercs are selected from a common pool, and come in individual sets known as loadout cards.
Gameplay-wise, the game is on the arcadey side, with very little weapon spread even when running. It is possible to aim down the iron sights, but doing so restricts the player to walking, making them a very easy target in such a fast-paced game.
Most weapons in the game are based on real firearms, with stylized appearances, fictional markings and names.
The following weapons appear in the video game Dirty Bomb:
Handguns
Unknown M1911 Variant
The Caulden is based on an M1911 variant.
SIG-Sauer P226
The M9 is based on the SIG-Sauer P226, though its name comes from the Beretta M9.
"Hoigot .224"
The Hoigot .224 is based on a futuristic FN Five-seveN, with some elements of the USFA Zip Gun.
Heckler & Koch USP Tactical

The Simeon .357 is based on the Smith & Wesson Model 327 Performance Center R8.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
The Hochfir SMG and the Tølen MP are both based on the MP5K. The Hochfir SMG uses an MP5A2 stock, while the Tølen MP lacks a stock and the foregrip.
Brügger & Thomet MP9
The Empire-9 is based on the Brügger & Thomet MP9. Its name rather obliquely references the real gun's name (Empire-9).
KRISS Vector/Thompson submachine gun Hybrid
The Blishlok is a cross between a KRISS Vector and a Thompson. Its name is based on the Blish Lock action seen in the Thompson submachine gun.

The Timik-47 is based on the Arsenal AR, fitted with picatinny rails.

Heckler & Koch HK416
The BR-16 is based on the H&K HK416, fitted with handguard padding and folding sights.
Steyr AUG A1
The Stark AR is based on the Steyr AUG A1, portrayed with very little modifications.
"SHAR-C"
The SHAR-C is a fictional assault rifle with a design resembling a mutant version of the FN SCAR-H, with its name being derived by swapping "C" and "H".
FN F2000
The Hurtsall 2K appears to be based on the FN F2000.

Rhino's special ability is the ability to use a handheld M134 Minigun.
Heckler & Koch HK21
The K-121 is based on the Heckler & Koch HK21.
FN M249 Paratrooper SAW
Despite the name implying it to be an FN Mk 46 Mod 1, the "MK46" is actually an FN M249 Paratrooper SAW with a solid stock and upper handguard, as evidenced by the presence of a diagonal STANAG magazine well, which the Mk 46 lacks.
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1887
The Ahnuhld-12 is based on the Winchester Model 1887, with sawn off barrel and stock, picatinny rails, and synthetic furniture. Its name is a shout-out to Arnold Schwarzenegger, his accent, and his portrayal of T-800 in Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Remington 870
The Hollunds 880 is based on the Remington 870.
Smith & Wesson 3000
The Remburg 7 is based on the Smith & Wesson 3000 with a foregrip, shortened barrel, a weird-looking heat shield, a rail system, and a folding stock. Its name is a portmanteau of Remington and Mossberg.

Milkor MGL
Nader's Lactic-40 is based off of the Milkor MGL, its name a pun on Milkor.
Unknown
"SMG-9"

The MP400 seems to be based on a custom AR-15 type SMG, with some other influences from the SIG-Sauer MPX and the Tec-9.
Unknown Machine Gun Turret
Bushwhacker can deploy an automatic turret as his ability.
