Inhumans is a 2017 science fiction television adaptation of the Marvel Comics series of the same name. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series follows a race of superpowered beings overseen by a royal family that includes Black Bolt (Anson Mount). When a coup occurs, Black Bolt and other Inhumans find themselves being banished down to Earth, where they must find a way to return to their home as well as save the planet they are on. The premise of the Inhumans had been introduced in the series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D prior to this series, which first premiered on IMAX screens in the US on September 1, 2017, before the television debut on ABC later in the month.
