Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond is a four-part miniseries that aired in 2014, presenting the slightly fictionalized exploits of Ian Fleming (Dominic Cooper), the author who created James Bond, during the decade leading up to his penning the first 007 novel. The series covers Fleming's life from 1938 to 1952 including his multiple affairs and his service for British Naval Intelligence during World War II.

German officers carry Luger P08 pistols throughout the series, including one officer (Zsolt Trill) in Lisbon who has his Luger taken from his holster by Ilsa Kovacs (Bernadett Ostorhazi).
