Sir Christopher George Rhodes was an English film and television actor. He was awarded the Croix de Guerre and the United States Legion of Merit for his World War II service. He was 38 years old when he began his film career and specialised in military types for which he was ideally suited as Chris in Betrayed (1954), General Brauer in Ill Met by Moonlight (1957), sergeant in Dunkirk (1958) or German artillery officer in The Guns of Navarone (1961). Married twice, he died aged 50 at his Blakeney, Norfolk home.
