:::::Jason Stantham? Hmm... well, I guess Mr. Stantham could look the part of Spike Spiegel, given if he grew some hair or just used a wig like you suggested. And since he can play a badass film character with a gun strapped to his side, I suppose he could be a logical choice. But Keanu is a more better choice in my book since he actually looks alot like Spike. But since there is no more information on the film on IMDB other than it just saying "Cowboy Bebop (2011)", maybe the project has been canceled permanently. Oh well... I guess beggars can't be choosers. --ThatoneguyJosh 05:22, 27 May 2011 (CDT)

It's confirmed, there's going to be a live action adaptation, but in an episodic TV show format. http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/cowboy-bebop-live-action-tv-series-1202454831/ --Aidoru (talk) 05:23, 7 June 2017 (EDT)

Getting DVDs

I'm getting the remastered edition of the DVDs. Better sound and better picture. Excalibur01 09:59, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

- Well, a little input on the unknowns, the bottom unknown looks like a Walther PP, and the pile of guns being pointed at Faye looks like, counterclockwise, a Walther P5, a Browning BDM, maybe another Walther, and another Browning, and then a Browning Hi-Power, and the big supressor sporting gun looks like a MAC of some sort. Just guesses here.

the Thompson Center Arms Contender might have been modified to fit in the Spikes Jericho 941 holster

I'm looking at a still of the modifyied "Ring Round" that Spike puts into the Contender. It doesn't look to me like a 7.62x39 as it is a rimmed round. It's possible it is suppose to be a 7.62x54R, but I'm not sure if the Contender was ever chambered as such. It definitely looks too big to be a .22 Hornet, but I don't have one of those sitting infront of me at the moment. -Stu

I remember seeing rifles that looked like HK G3 in the had of the Red dragons

Maybe you remember that the page (incorrectly) had it listed, because I'm watching every Red-Dragon oriented episode. Nothing.-protoAuthor 03:39, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

in ep 25 The Real Folk Blues Part 1 The firing squad for Vicious execution carried HK G3

I'll check it. Thanks for pointing out the episode.-protoAuthor 16:04, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Yep. Found them. Thanks.-protoAuthor 16:23, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

This show is awesome

I can't wait to buy the whole set. All I've got is the first disc, but my god this show is amazing. -protoAuthor 21:43, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Its hard to find the origional disk 5...I have them all but that one. Spades of Columbia

I got the remastered copy Excalibur01

You lucky SOB. I almost bought that, but I didn't have the money, and when I got the money, it was gone.-protoAuthor 05:05, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Faye's Redtail

Just wondering about the personal ships that the characters use. For Faye's ship, The Redtail, are the machine guns on the arms M61 Vulcan cannons? --ThePotShot 01:17, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Probably fictional guns Excalibur01 03:47, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Whats Spike Jericho chambered in?

Chracter wise, he seems like he'd want something with more power than a 9mm.-AC

M 67 Grenades.

Aside from Real Folk Blues, Spike also uses some in Ballad Of Fallen Angels. Also, I think he does use the Ruger at one point, but its shown from a weird angle, and could have just been his Jericho.-AC

In fallen angels he does use a ruger in the final battle seen in the church.--Spades of Columbia 20:01, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Spikes second pistol in Real Folk Blues.

When Spike raids the red dragon HQ in RFB he is wielding a second pistol akimbo with his Jericho until he drops it after being shot in the arm. It looked like a Sig to me.-AC

It's a Beretta 92FS. Read the article.--PistolJunkie 21:41, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Beretta was his second pistol in Ballad of Fallen Angels. From some of the entries on here, it seems that some of the people who have worked on this page have combined the two episodes together in there minds.-AC

If you think there's an error, make any necessary screencaps, create an account, and fix it yourself instead of expecting others to fix it.--PistolJunkie 18:56, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Actually it's a Browning Hi-Power.-protoAuthor 04:54, 5 March 2011 (MSK)

Arwen 37 not really

I've see the photo of the real Arwen and compared it to the one seen in the show and they look NOTHING alike. I remember a while ago I changed it to something else. Apparently somebody still sees it as a Arwen for some reason Excalibur01 07:45, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

You changed it to a 25mm Manville and ProtoAuthor changed it back to an Arwen. To be honest though, it looks nothing like either of them and should probably be listed as a fictional weapon. Having said that I have seen something that has a trigger/grip guard identical to that one, but can't find it right now, so it is possible that it is based on something obscure. Either way, it ain't an Arwen. --commando552 22:42, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
It looks like they took the body of a Arwen and slapped the drum from a Manville on it.--PistolJunkie 22:50, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't know, the barrel looks a bit too narrow to be the Arwen. Excalibur01 03:57, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Live action movie?

Wasn't there gonna be a live action film of this franchise? I know that they confirmed that Keanu Reeves would play the part of Spike, but supposedly the script was sent back for rewrites back in October of 2010, and now there are rumors floating around that the film has been permanently shelved due to budget problems and failure to make the release date of 2011. --ThatoneguyJosh 04:18, 13 May 2011 (CDT)

Keanu Reeves? Are you sure your not thinking about the live-action Akira movie(s)? - Mr. Wolf 15:59, 13 May 2011 (CDT)
No, it was confirmed back in the summer/fall of 2009 that Keanu Reeves would play the part of Spike Spiegel in the planned live-action Cowboy Bebop movie. But now that I am looking at imdb, I guess maybe he dropped out of the project since it has failed to meet the release date of 2011, and I don't see it anywhere in his filmography of upcoming films. Oh well... I thought that he could make a good depiction of Spike Spiegel :( --ThatoneguyJosh 01:39, 20 May 2011 (CDT)
Perhaps they could use Jason Statham with a wig? :P Orca1 9904 01:56, 20 May 2011 (CDT)
I think Keanu would be a almost perfect Spike. :) - Mr. Wolf 16:23, 20 May 2011 (CDT)
Jason Stantham? Hmm... well, I guess Mr. Stantham could look the part of Spike Spiegel, given if he grew some hair or just used a wig like you suggested. Jericho caliber

Why is the author so convinced that Spike is shooting 9mm? If he has the silver guide rod in it means he's shooting .41 Action Express.

The bore size looks a lot closer to the 9mm than the .41 AE if nothing else. Here is a comparison shot of the muzzle end of a 941, from left to right showing a .41 barrel with .41 rod, a 9mm barrel with .41 rod, and a 9mm barrel and rod. The middle appears to be the closest match for what is shown in the series:

For people wanting an exact replica of this Jericho, the guide rod is a persistent problem with even the replica on the main page using a blued rod. This can be fixed by either just polishing he finish off of the rod, or replacing it with a stainless steel rod but keeping the 9mm strength springs. Also, when writing something on a talk page remember to sign your posts so people know who you are without having to look through the page history (you can do this by typing ~~~~ at the end of your comment, or by just hiting the signature button at the top of the edit window). --commando552 (talk) 05:04, 15 January 2015 (EST)
Sorry about not signing. That was my first post. I have the actual pistol with the 9mm and .41 AE barrels and they look about the same in size. Although I think 9mm fits Spike's personality better. He's more of a finesse and accuracy over brute force. --Cwes55 (talk) 11:36, 17 January 2015 (EST)
Sort of surprising that the extremely detailed dress on the pistol doesn't denote its caliber anywhere; a simple "9x19mm" or ".41AE" on the ejector would certainly save us having to wonder if Spike has a custom guide rod. Atypicaloracle (talk) 05:03, 14 May 2016 (EDT)
Oh, and just so we'll never know... the replica (described as an "official reference model of the theatre version" on the Poseidon site) of Spike's "941revision" comes with not only 9x19 and .41AE ejectors (with matching serial numbers) but also a .40 S&W one too! (Most people actually forget there's THREE options for the 941's caliber, not just two.) Atypicaloracle (talk) 05:11, 14 May 2016 (EDT)
