: I agree. I'll grant it does have the smooth receiver like a Zastava or Type 56, but it also certainly has the sights and forend of an AK as noted. ::Is there any reason that this rifle can't be an AK-47? It has the wide front sight block, no bayonet lug on the gas block, a perforated gas tube, a sling loop on the rear of the receiver and a smooth top cover. Zastava M70B1

AKM or VZ58?
I think the AKM in scope view picture is a VZ58. the Front Sight Post looks like a VZ58 Front sight post not an AK front sight. http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/0/0c/Mine_402.jpg/600px-Mine_402.jpg
