The UC-M21 was designed by Dave Boatman, based on the ARES FMG
The FMG was designed in 1984 by Francis J. Warin for Eugene Stoner's company ARES Inc. (US Patent 4625621, filed April 2, 1984) Warin designed the FMG as a PDW for high-ranking politicians and wealthy businessmen in kidnapping prone nations.
While the two weapons are internally the same, the UC-M21 features an improved exterior and the addition of sling swivels.
