Police Python 357 is a French film starring Yves Montand as Inspector Marc Ferrot. It is named after the eponymous revolver.
The following weapons were used in the film Police Python 357:
Handguns
Colt Python
The Python is displayed prominently throughout the film. We can see it from the main titles:
Ferrot (Yves Montand) trains at the range, using several different positions.
Ferrot (Yves Montand ) uses the revolver in the final shootout, during the armored car robbery.
Note that, in this pic, the cylinder holes are not completely round. Maybe a blank gun was used in this scene.
SACM Model 1935A
Mathieu Carrière, as Inspector Ménard, uses a SACM Model 1935A pistol, although it is never seen well, and it is difficult to obtain a good vidcap.
MAB Model D
It is hard to be sure, but I think that the police officer standing behind the car carries a MAB Model D pistol.
Walther PPK
Commissaire Ganay (François Périer) uses a Walther PPK.
Submachine gun
MAT-49
Both the police officers and the robbers use the MAT-49 SMG in the final shootout.
Carbine
M1 carbine
Another of the robbers in the final shootout uses a M1 Carbine
Miscellaneous
M1911 pistol
At the beginning of the movie, we can see several long guns and handguns in a gun rack, in Ferrot’s house. The handgun at the left looks like a M1911. Note that the gun has a lanyard loop.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Another gun in the gun rack looks like a Smith & Wesson Model 10
Unidentified Firearms
Ferrot keeps a rifle, a shotgun and several handguns in a gun rack. The long guns are never seen well, and I cannot identify the handgun in the middle. Possibly it is a CZ 27.
Interesting Details
At the beginning of the movie, we see that Ferrots handloads his own ammo at his reloading bench.
He even casts his bullets.
