Members of the Norwegian Police Service stationed in Fortitude continue to carry the Glock 17 as their service firearm. Sheriff Eric Odegard (Björn Hlynur Haraldsson), Officer Petra Bergen (Alexandra Moen) and Officer Ingrid Witry (Mia Jexen) are seen carrying them throughout. Dan Anderssen (Richard Dormer), the former Sheriff, also briefly uses one.
Note: Ordinary Norwegian police officers are usually not armed, but they have weapons in their patrol cars. The standard issue pistol for the Norwegian policemen is the Heckler & Koch P30, while the special unit has access to Glocks. It can be assumed the reason the officers permanently carry their guns is due to the laws in Fortitude stating all citizens must be armed (in case of polar bear attacks).
SIG-Sauer P226
Tomak Bowzyk (Gershwyn Eustache Jr.), a mercenary working for Shentel Biotech, is seen assembling and chambering a SIG-Sauer P226 with a threaded barrel.
A Smith & Wesson Model 27 is seen in the possession of Lazlo Hindemith (Brian McCardie) and his associates during a binge on drugs and "Muskemaal", a narcotic drink.
Michael Lennox (Dennis Quaid) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 66 on his expedition to the abandoned Soviet weather station outside Vukobejina. It is later used by his son, Rune Lennox (Edvin Endre) and Yeka Podnikov (Eloise Smyth). Lennox refers to it as a "magnum", and that it is the only handgun "powerful enough to kill bears". Devlin (Paul Ready), a mercenary employed by Shentel Biotech, later uses it after shooting and disarming Michael in the season finale.
