A Smith & Wesson Model 27 is seen in the possession of Lazlo Hindemith (Brian McCardie) and his associates during a binge on drugs and "Muskemaal", a narcotic drink.
Michael Lennox (Dennis Quaid) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 66 on his expedition to the Soviet weather station outside Vukobejina. It is later used by his son, Rune Lennox (Edvin Endre) and Yeka Podnikov (Eloise Smyth). Lennox refers to it as a "magnum", and that it is the only handgun "powerful enough to kill bears".

Karabiner 98k
A Sami reindeer herder uses what appears to be a Karabiner 98k to shoot an infected Russian researcher in Vukobejina in 1942.
Officer, later Sheriff Eric Odegard (Björn Hlynur Haraldsson) is seen briefly handling a Remington 700 SPS (a modern variant of the Remington 700) during his search for the missing Dan Anderssen. He later uses it to kill Devlin (Paul Ready), a Shentel Biotech mercenary attempting to murder Michael Lennox (Dennis Quaid).

One of the mine workers investigating an abandoned mine carries a Ruger M77.

Dr. Sarinda Khatri (Parminder Nagra) later uses it to kill Spindoe (Lorraine Burroughs) and herself by firing it inside a Shentel Biotech helicopter.
