Novitsky-Fyodorov (Граната Новицкого-Фёдорова; Granata Novitskogo-Fyodorova, slang: десятифунтовка, desyatifuntovka that means "ten pounder") is a Imperial Russian hand grenade. First version, desinged by Capt. Novitsky, appeared in 1914; in 1916 it was improved by Praporshchik (2nd Lt.) Fyodorov. Due it's extremely large weight (10 pounds) and very long time heaves burning (12 seconds) it's could not be used against soldiers, but was ideal weapon against all sorts of military equipment, pillbox, etc. For effective destroying of barb wire the grenade was fitted with weighted ropes that tangle with wire and provide explosion in its center rather than on the ground. Later, this qualities (long delay and very high explosion power) made it popular among safecracker.
