Hussar Ballad (Gusarskaya ballada) is a Soviet 1962 adventure comedy directed by Eldar Ryazanov. The story takes place in 1812, during Napoleon's invasion of Russia. Shura Azarova, a young girl from a noble family, dresses herself as a Hussar officer and joins the Russian Army to fight against the invaders.
The following weapons were used in the film Hussar Ballad (Gusarskaya ballada):
Percussion Cap Pistol
Percussion Cap Pistols, standing for more appropriated flintlock pistols, are seen in hands of various characters, including Shura Azarova and Rzhevsky.
Flintlock Pistols
Flintlock Pistols are also seen though much less often.
Flintlock Muskets
Russian and French soldiers are armed with Flintlock Muskets of several models. A few of it is the Charleville Muskets.
Model 1777 Cavalry Carbine
A Model 1777 Cavalry Carbine is constantly carried by Ivan (Nikolai Kryuchkov). Similar carbines are also used by Russian and French soldiers.
Mauser-style Rifle
Some of French soldiers carry bolt action rifles, supposedly due to the shortage of authentic flintlock muskets. These rifles resemble some Mauser model, but it's hard to identify them for sure.
