:Although I do not know what it is, I believe that this type of LeMat replica (with Cooper style conversion) has appeared in media before. In Firefly Jayne carries a custom dressed up LeMat, which if you look at has the same cartridge conversion cylinder. The only people who I can find who have ever done a conversion like this are Kirst Konverter, but they definitely didn't make the original one used in Firefly as the reason they started making them was because somebody wanted a replica of the Firefly gun. These still use a percussion shotgun though, so my guess is that the one in the show may not actually be able to fire a shotgun cartridge like that but it is instead just a dummy round for the reload. --commando552 (talk) 19:56, 10 October 2016 (EDT) | |||

Custom LeMat
The Man in Black's (Ed Harris) LeMat revolver is seen extensively in S1E02, and is proven to be a customized cartridge-firing model rather than a percussion black-powder weapon. The Man in Black is seen reloading his LeMet by breaking the weapon in half (the barrel and cylinder assembly from the frame), showing that the pistol has a cartridge cylinder similar to those produced by reproduction companies such as Uberti and Pietta (See picture below. While this type of conversion wasn't existent in the Old West, the film takes place in a futuristic theme park. That being said, this conversion isn't technically an anachronism). The Man in Black loads the revolver with what appear to be .38 Short Colt cartridges, as well as a long, brass shotgun shell (appears to be around a 20 gauge) in the underbarrel shotgun. He is then seen firing the revolver on the normal cylinders, but also flipping the switch on the hammer and firing the shotgun. (To my knowledge, this type of conversion (not to mention the amount of detail seen loading and firing) has never been seen on screen).
Also, interestingly enough, it appears that The Man in Black carries an entire second barrel/cylinder assembly in a holster mounted on his belt behind the holster for the full pistol. While the purpose of this has not yet been demonstrated, it can be assumed that it is meant to be a quicker reload than the one demonstrated in this episode. --Caldwellb734 (talk) 03:58, 8 October 2016 (EDT)
- Although I do not know what it is, I believe that this type of LeMat replica (with Cooper style conversion) has appeared in media before. In Firefly Jayne carries a custom dressed up LeMat, which if you look at has the same cartridge conversion cylinder. The only people who I can find who have ever done a conversion like this are Kirst Konverter, but they definitely didn't make the original one used in Firefly as the reason they started making them was because somebody wanted a replica of the Firefly gun. p90tr
Pretty sure the security team had p90tr's when you first see Anthony Hopkins.Temp89 (talk)
- Yes, I noticed them too. I also concur with your assessment that they're the TR model. The lower-back half of the weapons are painted red, and they seem to be the standard-issue primary weapon for the Westworld security team. It's unclear if they're being used as actual P90s or acting as scifi laserarms of some sort (a common practice with the P90 in many scifi movies and TV shows). --Caldwellb734 (talk) 16:45, 8 October 2016 (EDT)
