I have seen two versions of the barrel on a Cheytac, one is fluted along the whole length (e.g.[[Shooter]]) whilst the other isn't and has a bump partway down, which if fitted the back end of a suppressor rests against (e.g. [[The Unit]]).

Does anyone know what theses two versions are? Is it a early/late or civilian/military thing? Also, there are some guns that seem to have portions of the receiver milled away in horizontal grooves (e.g. [[Homefront]]).

Civilian/military versions?

I have seen two versions of the barrel on a Cheytac, one is fluted along the whole length (e.g.Shooter) whilst the other isn't and has a bump partway down, which if fitted the back end of a suppressor rests against (e.g. The Unit). Does anyone know what theses two versions are? Is it a early/late or civilian/military thing? Also, there are some guns that seem to have portions of the receiver milled away in horizontal grooves (e.g. Homefront). Anyone know what this means, is it a calibre thing? --commando552 18:08, 20 November 2011 (CST)
