:They're claiming it's supposed to be a "Magnum", and the only Magnum rounds that the DE can fire give it 8- or 9-round capacities. However, I think that the barrel isn't fluted, so it's actually right. I'll fix it. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 19:38, 18 August 2016 (EDT)

::Technically the term Magnum refers to cartridges that are more powerful versions of other cartridges so this would not apply to the .50AE as that was built from the ground up (although it has the same rim diameter as the .44 Magnum the case itself is wider). However, the term "Magnum" tends to be used colloquially (especially by people not so much in the know about firearms) to refer to any powerful handgun cartridge so I don't think them using this term necessarily points to the gun being intended to be a .357 or .44. Also, lets not forget that a large proportion of Desert Eagles are made by Magnum Research so this may in fact be a reference to the manufacturer and not the cartridge it is chambered in. --commando552 (talk) 06:16, 19 August 2016 (EDT)

The Desert Eagle

Why does it say that it holding seven rounds is incorrect? Isn't it supposed to be the .50AE version like in RE5?Kornflakes89 (talk) 17:04, 7 August 2013 (EDT)

They're claiming it's supposed to be a "Magnum", and the only Magnum rounds that the DE can fire give it 8- or 9-round capacities. However, I think that the barrel isn't fluted, so it's actually right. I'll fix it. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 19:38, 18 August 2016 (EDT)
Technically the term Magnum refers to cartridges that are more powerful versions of other cartridges so this would not apply to the .50AE as that was built from the ground up (although it has the same rim diameter as the .44 Magnum the case itself is wider).
