Upon its release on February 28, 1986, the film would gross $22.1 million worldwide and was soon followed by three sequels: House II: The Second Story, House III: The Horror Show, and House IV. The Model 28 is shown in Cobb's workshop and used by the police.

The M67 hand grenade is worn on the belt of a GI in Cobb's flashback scenes and also thrown by the Vietcong.

Big Ben uses the M60 machine gun in several flashback scenes to Vietnam.
Rossi Overland
The Rossi Overland is used by Cobb and by one of the monsters. This particular Overland is import marked Interarms Alexandria, Virginia.

The SP1 rifle appears in Cobb's Vietnam flashbacks used by him and his squad-mates.

An unknown spear gun is used to shoot one of the closet monsters.
