Painkiller Jane was a television show for the Sci Fi Channel that ran for one season (2007). In the television series, Kristanna Loken played the self healing titular character DEA Agent Jane Vasco. Not to be confused with the made for television movie Painkiller Jane (2005) that started Emmanuelle Vaugier as U.S. Army Capt. Jane Elizabeth Browning, though both became the titular action heroine who heals from all mortal wounds and (apparently) cannot be killed except through complete destruction of the body (burned completely to ashes or explosion or acid) or dismemberment or decapitation.
The show was mostly filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, but then abruptly moved to Budapest, Hungary for the last third of the season. To the show's credit, when the production moved to Hungary, the storyline also moved to the same country, so they did not try to make an Eastern European country look like the United States.
The following guns were used in the show:
Pistols
Beretta 9000S
- Jane Vasco wields a Beretta 9000S pistol in the Pilot Episode.
Smith & Wesson 6906
- In the Pilot Episode, Agent Maureen Bowers (Alaina Huffman) carries a S&W 6906.
Heckler & Koch Mark 23
- In the Pilot Episode, Riley Jensen (Sean O. Roberts) carries a Heckler & Koch Mark 23.
Jericho 941 Stainless
Jericho 941 Two Tone
- In Episode 2 "Toy Soldiers" a CID (Criminal Investigations Division) Agent (Doug Chapman) wields a two tone Jericho 941 (Stainless Frame, Matte Blued Slide) - 9mm
Heckler & Koch VP70
SIG-Sauer P226
- In the Pilot Episode, a "Neuro" makes police officers shoot at Jane Vasco. They all fire in a police station when, in the melee, the fire alarm goes off. They all use SIG-Sauer P226 Pistols - 9mm.
Submachine guns:
MP5K
- In the pilot episode, a ten year old Jane Vasco (Tiera Skovbye) wields a Heckler & Koch MP5K -9mm
Heckler & Koch UMP
Shotguns
Ithaca Model 37
- Episode 2 "Toy Soldiers", Connor King (Noah Danby) carries a stainless steel Ithaca Model 37 shotgun with a short barrel and an MP5K foregrip in place of the factory foregrip.
Rifles
Heckler & Koch SL8
- Episode 2 "Toy Soldiers" Andre McBride (Rob Stewart) uses a black stocked SL8 Tactical outfitted with a Suppressor (the factory designation for a threaded barrel rifle is SL9SD chambered for a new .30 cal cartridge) with a flush fit five round magazine, Harris Bipod, modified scope rail and Scope. The rifle is wrongly depicted as capable of firing darts.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB Heavy Machine Gun
- Seen used in Episode 2 "Toy Soldiers", by undead soldiers mounted on Humvees.
