Pillbox (Dot) is a Russian-Ukrainian 2009 war movie directed by Anatoliy Mateshko. In September 1941 a small group of Soviet soldiers under command of Capt. Leonov are surrounded by German troops in a pillbox. A Soviet liaison plane is shot down in vicinity, and General Gordeev and female pilot Anna join the garrison of pillbox. An inexperienced but overconfident German Captain plans to capture the Soviet General at any cost.
The following weapons were used in the film Pillbox (Dot):
Handguns
Nagant M1895
A Nagant M1895 revolver is Capt. Leonov's (Evgeniy Ganelin) sidearm.
Tokarev TT-33
Gen. Gordeev (Igor Livanov) and female pilot Lt. Anna (Tatyana Cherkasova) are armed with TT-33 pistols. Gordeev's TT is lated seen in hands of Capt. Leonov (Evgeniy Ganelin) and Starshina Kovsh (Aleksandr Suvorov).
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
A pair of PPSh-41 SMGs are used by all defenders of the pillbox, passed from hands to hands.
MP38
Some German soldiers are armed with MP38 SMGs.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Sgt. Kamarinsky (Andrey Isaenko) is often seen with Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifle. In the final scene his rifle is used by Starshina Kovsh (Aleksandr Suvorov).
Karabiner 98k
Most German soldiers are armed with Karabiner 98k rifles.
Machine Guns
Degtyaryov DP-27
A Degtyaryov DP-27 is mostly used by Starshina Kovsh (Aleksandr Suvorov). In one scene Pvt. Shetikov (Stanislav Melnik) uses a DP-27.
Maxim M1910/30
The main weapon, mounted in the pillbox, are two Maxim machine guns. One of them is a Maxim M1910/30 with post-1940 cooling jacket.
Maxim M1910
The second Maxim machine gun has a smooth cooling jacket that allows to identify it as Maxim M1910.
MG34
An MG34 is seen in German trenches.
Other Weapons
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Model 24 Stielhandgranate hand grenades are briefly seen carried by German soldiers.
Flammenwerfer 41
German soldiers use a pair of Flammenwerfer 41 flamethrowers in a night attack on the pillbox. They appear to be mockups, possibly the same, seen in Dnieper Line: Love and War and The Brest Fortress (Brestskaya Krepost).
SPSh Flare Pistol
In one scene Hauptmann von Wuttke (David Zimmerschied) fires a flare pistol to signal the attack. It is seen unclear but the general shape matches Soviet SPSh Flare Pistol rather than any of German flare pistols.
