The story set at the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, when Pragues Police inspector Trachta (Jirí Zahajský) and his assistant, a Police trainee Jindřich Hlaváček (Marek Brodský) together by original way, looking for the perpetrators of the murder of a factory owner Karel Bierhanzel (Jirí Kodet), that produced miracle salves against baldness.
